Every Rooting Day reminds us why we serve—why we pray over every home, every heart, and every story. We were honored to welcome home a courageous young mother, her two beautiful children, and their dad. Their journey has been anything but easy, but it is filled with God’s fingerprints of redemption and hope.
A Hard Start, A Young Love
Both mom and dad grew up with broken beginnings—loss, instability, and the absence of steady parental love. Yet as teens they found each other and dreamed of building the kind of home they never had. Soon they were a family of three, determined to give their daughter a different future. But with limited resources, the pressures of early parenthood and postpartum depression, the path quickly turned difficult.
“God Heard Me & He Saw Me”
When rent fell behind and an eviction notice arrived, Mom faced the unimaginable: pregnant again and without a home. Still, she refused to give up. An encounter led her to Family Promise of Athens, which welcomed her just a week after her baby boy was born. “My heart was full,” she recalls. “I was happy because God heard me and He saw me.”
Rooted in Hope
With stability came determination. Together again, she and dad worked hard, saved faithfully, and secured a home of their own. That’s where Rooted Interiors came in—transforming an empty space into a warm, hope-filled haven.
Our team of volunteers and donors furnished every room, prayed over every space, and spoke life over their future. Beds, linens, kitchenware, toys—each detail was chosen with love, reflecting God’s care for this precious family.
“I owe it all to Family Promise and Rooted Interiors,” she shared. “If I could give them the world, I would. I’m so thankful.”
A New Beginning
Now, siblings giggle in their bedroom. Parents can focus on building a future, not just surviving each day. And a house that was once empty sings with laughter and possibility.
Every Rooting Day is a testimony that God still moves—through neighbors who give, volunteers who serve, and friends who pray. Thank you for being part of a story that proves love can rebuild what life has broken.
