Finding Hope in a Happy Place

Four years ago, Mom made the brave decision to relocate to Atlanta, seeking refuge from a life of domestic violence. Determined to build a new life and better life for her and her 3 daughters, she worked tirelessly, juggling two jobs to provide for her family and create a sense of stability. But as fate would have it, life threw a curveball her way. When she lost one of her jobs, the financial strain became too much to bear, and she found herself unable to keep up with the rent.

With no other options, she was forced to leave her apartment, losing all of her furniture and belongings in the process. The emotional toll of starting over once again was heavy, but Mom’s strength and resilience shone through as she fought to keep her family together. They found temporary refuge in a hotel, aided by a voucher that kept a roof over their heads. But the uncertainty of hotel living made it difficult to establish the sense of home and security that her family so desperately needed.

Despite the challenges, Mom never gave up hope. Her perseverance and unwavering faith and hard work led her to a new opportunity at Rainbow Village, a place where she could rebuild her life in a supportive, nurturing environment. Rainbow Village offered more than just a place to stay—it became the foundation upon which she could start anew, with dignity and the comfort of knowing that she was not alone.

With the help of Rooted Interiors, Mom and her daughters have found their "new happy place" at Rainbow Village. It’s more than just a roof over her head; it’s a welcoming home and community that understands her journey and walks alongside her as she continues to heal and grow. The journey has not been easy, but Mom's story is a testament to the strength and courage it takes to rebuild a life, brick by brick, with love, faith, and the support of a caring community.
