Keynote Speaker

Pastor David Hutchinson

We are honored to welcome Pastor David Hutchinson as our keynote speaker for Designing Hope: Lighting the Way.

David’s story is one marked by deep roots, faithful service, and a heart tuned to God’s presence. Born in Hope Mills, North Carolina, and raised in the small towns of Vidalia and Hawkinsville, Georgia, David developed an early love for the outdoors—spending his younger years hunting, fishing, and exploring the beauty of God’s creation. That love for creation led him to pursue a degree in Wildlife Biology from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and later a B.S. in Wildlife Management from the University of Georgia.

But it was during his college years that a deeper calling began to unfold.

While attending UGA, David began visiting New Covenant Church, where his parents had once been ministered to under the leadership of Pastor Howard Conine. It was there, through serving in the youth ministry, that David felt God stirring his heart for ministry. That calling grew stronger as he pursued Biblical Studies at Emmanuel College and joined the staff at New Covenant, first as Youth Pastor and later as Worship Leader.

For over 18 years, David faithfully led worship and walked alongside the church through a powerful move of God. In 2016, he stepped into the role of Senior Pastor of New Covenant, following in the footsteps of his mentor. Today, David leads with vision and conviction, desiring to see lives transformed by the presence of God, disciples raised up in truth, and the Church shining brightly in the world.

David and his wife India have been married since 1995 and are the proud parents of three incredible children—Abby, Noah, and Silas—each walking in their own unique callings and carrying the legacy of faith forward.
