what we do

Creating a home is much more than furnishings and decor. Anyone can place a mattress in a bedroom and a sofa in a living room. We design homes that will uplift, restore and inspire and give deserving families in need their very own HGTV experience!

HELP TRANSFORM HOMES:

the rooted interiors design process

FIRST, WE MEET A RESIDENT

Our residents are nominated to us from our partnering homeless shelters in Jackson County, Ga and surrounding counties. The resident has recently transitioned into housing for a better future. Though they now have their own roof over their head, there is still the overwhelming and expensive burden to furnish the place. That's where Rooted Interiors comes in.

Once we select a resident, we perform a house visit to learn about their needs, wishes and likes. We measure and take photos of the spaces. They fully become a design client having the opportunity to help us design the home of their dreams!

  • WHAT IS THE MISSION OF ROOTED INTERIORS?
Our mission is to transform empty houses into custom designed and fully furnished havens where those emerging from homelessness can plant roots, get rooted in Jesus Christ and thrive! Having a roof over your head doesn't make it a home. We believe taking away the financial burden of furnishing an entire home will generate a complete mindset change with an immediate focus on future goals and long-term stability.
  • WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE ASSISTANCE FROM ROOTED INTERIORS?
We assist individuals and families who are transitioning out of homelessness into stable housing. Our services are offered to those nominated to us by our partnering agencies, including shelters, case workers and human services organizations. There is no direct application process. If you're interested in becoming a partner, please email hello@rootedinteriors.org. My Sisters Place, Rainbow Village, Peace Place, Family Promise- Athens, are current partners to name a few.
  • HOW CAN I REQUEST ASSISTANCE FROM ROOTED INTERIORS FOR MYSELF OR SOMEONE ELSE?
If you or someone you know needs assistance from Rooted Interiors, there are other resources available. You can contact your local Furniture Bank or visit 211.org for additional support in your area. We kindly ask that you do not contact the case managers of our partner agencies directly for referrals. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
  • HOW DOES ROOTED INTERIORS HELP FAMILIES IN NEED?
Rooted Interiors roots families by fully furnishing their homes as they transition out of homelessness into stable housing. As we share the love of Jesus Christ with them, we create environments that are not only visually captivating but also spiritually enriching, rooted in the belief that our surroundings have the power to inspire, uplift and heal.
  • HOW DO THE FAMILIES GET THEIR HOUSING?
We do not provide housing for families. Families must either work with our partner agencies to secure housing or find it independently. Securing housing beforehand is a requirement for referral to our services.
